"Let's Support Startup Growth"... Yeungnam University and Daegu Public Procurement Service Sign MOU
Yeungnam University (President Choi Oechul) and the Daegu Regional Public Procurement Service (Director Bang Hyeongjun) have signed a business agreement to support innovative growth and market expansion of student startup companies utilizing public procurement.
The signing ceremony, held on the afternoon of the 16th at the main conference room of Yeungnam University, was attended by Yeungnam University President Choi Oechul, Vice President for Industry-Academic Cooperation Lee Kyungsoo, Director of the Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation Kim Jongsoo, as well as Daegu Regional Public Procurement Service Director Bang Hyeongjun, Director of Fair Procurement Bureau Lee Hyungsik, and managers Lim Jaehyun, Moon Heechul, and Lee Joohyun, along with other officials from both organizations.

View original imageAccording to the agreement, the two organizations will join forces to foster and support the innovative growth of local startups and venture companies through innovative procurement, provide consulting for youth startups to enter the public procurement market, jointly host events such as public purchasing and procurement system promotion, education, and consultation sessions, promote and support market expansion for innovative products and startup/venture products, discover and recommend such companies, exchange information on startup incubation and procurement projects, and cooperate on other matters for the development of both organizations.
Bang Hyeongjun, Director of the Daegu Regional Public Procurement Service, stated, "The Daegu Regional Public Procurement Service is faithfully fulfilling its role as a professional procurement agency to support the growth of local small and medium-sized enterprises and to revitalize the local economy. I hope that today's agreement with Yeungnam University, a leading university in the region, will become an important milestone for discovering and supporting youth startups through public procurement, fostering cooperation in glocal business fields, and enabling the development of local universities, public institutions, and companies."
Choi Oechul, President of Yeungnam University, said, "We are pleased to cooperate with the Daegu Regional Public Procurement Service, which is contributing to the local economy through innovative procurement. We will work together with the Public Procurement Service to support startups and venture companies in the region and strive for the co-growth of the region and the university."
President Choi added, "In particular, the 'Campus Venture Town Project' is one of the core projects Yeungnam University is planning for the official designation of the Glocal University 30 project. I expect this agreement will play a significant role in supporting the growth of youth startups that will be newly fostered in the Campus Venture Town. We will do our utmost to open the path for future generations and ensure that this cooperation benefits our society."
