LG Electronics will unveil 'CLOi,' a service robot equipped with Google's generative artificial intelligence (AI) 'Gemini' and other technologies.
According to industry sources on the 14th, LG Electronics will participate in the 'Google Cloud Summit Seoul 2024' held on the 27th of next month, showcasing a prototype of CLOi integrated with Gemini. It is known that the two companies have been collaborating since last year to launch this product.
Gemini is a large language model (LLM) developed by Google. At the time of Gemini's announcement, the company described it as having "human-level performance."
LG Electronics expects that applying Gemini will significantly enhance CLOi's communication capabilities. Based on its collaboration with Google, LG plans to intensify its efforts to capture the global robot market.
CLOi is a representative product embodying LG Electronics' AI vision. LG has redefined AI as 'empathic intelligence' and has been continuously introducing products incorporating AI. Since commercial robots interact closely with humans, it is analyzed that LG's unique empathic intelligence technology is best demonstrated through these robots.
