Kakao Recruits Markets to Join 'Talk Channel Support' Helping Digital Transformation
Kakao announced on the 16th that it is recruiting markets to participate in the 'Talk Channel Support' program of 'Dangol Market,' which helps the digital transformation of traditional markets, in collaboration with Kakao Impact, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and the Small Enterprise and Market Service.
The support targets are traditional markets nationwide. The goal is to help traditional markets effectively communicate with customers using Kakao's services. Last year, participation was accepted only for a limited period, but from this year, applications can be submitted at any time without a time limit. The screening criteria have been simplified so that support benefits can be received with minimal qualifications.
Kakao will provide selected markets with ▲ six weeks of one-on-one digital tutoring visits ▲ KRW 3 million for sending Talk Channel advertising messages ▲ KRW 3 million in support funds for Talk Channel activation ▲ promotional materials and cheering kits using Kakao Friends characters. Especially from this year, an additional KRW 1 million will be provided to advertise on Kakao services. For markets wishing to enter the KakaoTalk Store, opportunities to participate in Talk Store community education and Talk Store special exhibitions will also be offered.
In addition, Kakao plans to launch in June the 'Excellent Market Development Program' to discover outstanding cases of digital transformation and the 'Follow-up Support Program' to continuously enhance the digital capabilities of traditional markets that have previously participated in the Dangol Market project.
