Gwangju Dong-gu, Safety Capacity Enhancement Training for Construction Project Personnel
Dong-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City recently conducted a 'Hands-on Construction Safety Training and Observational Safety Inspection' for technical public officials and construction project personnel within the district office.
This training, prepared in cooperation with the Honam Regional Headquarters of the Korea Infrastructure Safety & Technology Corporation, an affiliate of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, focused on preventing major accidents and ensuring the safety of on-site participants through safety management of small- and medium-sized construction sites, which are blind spots in safety management.
The training was held with the attendance of facility and technical public officials responsible for construction-related tasks and construction participants, and included presentations on major construction accident cases, construction safety and quality management education, and safety experience using virtual reality (VR).
Following this, the participants moved to a local building construction site where on-site safety inspection training was conducted using a checklist and diagnostic equipment.
