Gochang-gun to Hold 'Special Exhibition on River Creatures' Until the 24th
The Jeonbuk Gochang-gun Environmental Education Center will hold a "Special Exhibition on River Creatures" at the Gochang Biosphere Reserve Management Center Exhibition Hall until the 24th.
According to the Gochang-gun Environmental Education Center on the 14th, this exhibition was promoted to create a venue for biodiversity and sustainable environmental education.
The exhibition features over 20 species of river creatures, including aquatic insects such as water beetles, giant water bugs, and water striders, as well as river animals like true frogs, dark-spotted frogs, and rosy bitterlings that inhabit Gochang.
The experiential education program will be held twice daily at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., with a total of eight free sessions during the exhibition period.
Those interested can apply online through the Gochang-gun Environmental Education Center website.
Side events include the "Eco Golden Bell," which explores practical activities to protect ecological resources, and the "ESG Woodworking Tree Play" educational program.
Lee Yang-su, chairman of the Gochang-gun Ecological Environment Conservation Council, which operates the Gochang-gun Environmental Education Center, said, "I hope this will be a valuable time to recognize the organic relationship between the biosphere reserve's creatures and humans."
Oh Mi-sook, director of the Tourism Industry Division at Gochang-gun Office, stated, "We will continue to do our best to provide environmental education programs that utilize the characteristics of the Gochang Biosphere Reserve, playing an important role in ecological environmental education."
