'Geu Junge Geudaereul Manna' · 'Cheotnun' and More Musicow May Auction Released
A Diverse Lineup Including Timeless Classics and Popular Seasonal Songs Spanning Generations
Music investment platform Musicow has unveiled its auction lineup for May.
On the 14th, Musicow announced that starting with Lee Sojeong's "You and I Are Now Strangers," followed by Lee Sunhee's "Meeting You Among Them," and Jung Joonil's "First Snow," it plans to sequentially hold auctions for these steady sellers that have long been loved by fans.
After achieving consecutive sell-outs and early closures with steady sellers since its first auction in January this year, Musicow will continue to attract music investors in May with notable classic songs.
"You and I Are Now Strangers" is a representative song by singer Lee Sojeong, known as the queen of music competition programs. It recently gained renewed attention after being featured in a dating reality show. Musicow will hold an auction for 3,750 music revenue securities based on the copyright assets of this song, starting at 12,000 KRW per share.
Lee Sunhee's classic "Meeting You Among Them" will also seek music investors in May. As the title track of Lee Sunhee's 30th debut anniversary album, it has been continuously referenced by the public through endless covers by junior singers. It ranked 4th on the "2014?2023 Ringtone Chart" released by the domestic popular music chart Circle Chart, showing its long-lasting popularity. Musicow plans to hold an auction from the 24th to the 30th for 3,332 music revenue securities of "Meeting You Among Them," starting at 66,000 KRW per share.
The final auction in May will feature Jung Joonil's "First Snow," which gained popularity as part of the drama "Goblin" OST. According to "Gaiseom," a domestic music chart archiving site, the daily user count trend for "First Snow" has consistently risen every November over the past five years, peaking at the end of December, establishing it as a seasonal song. The auction for "First Snow," scheduled from May 30 to June 5, will offer 2,153 music revenue securities starting at 38,000 KRW per share.
The auction schedule may change depending on the financial authorities' review results of each securities registration statement, and if all planned shares are sold at the upper limit price during the auction, it may close early.
