View original imageGwangjin-gu, Seoul (Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) has newly renovated the idle land of Jayang Rainwater Pump Station into a sports facility called 'Jayang Retention Basin Multipurpose Ground.'
The Jayang 2-dong Multipurpose Ground covers an area of 1,023㎡ and includes one futsal field, which can also be used as a jokgu (foot volleyball) court. The district invested 140 million KRW in the project, transforming the space into a sports facility for residents after more than eight months of effort.
Durable urethane flooring was used to enhance injury prevention, and environmental improvements were made by installing security closed-circuit television (CCTV), fences, nets, and rest benches.

At the opening ceremony held on the 11th, about 100 people including Gwangjin-gu Mayor Kim Kyung-ho and officials from the Gwangjin-gu Futsal Federation (President Jang Sung-dae) attended. Mayor Kim said, “We will continuously strive to improve sports facilities so that residents can enjoy leisure activities in a safe and pleasant environment.”
