Hansol Paper, the First in Domestic Paper Industry to Establish a 'Big Data Platform'
Managing Over 100,000 Production Process Data in One System
Hansol Paper announced on the 13th that it will become the first company in the domestic paper industry to establish a big data platform and pursue business innovation through digital transformation (DX).
A big data platform is a technology that extracts meaningful information through various analytical methods from data collected based on cloud technology, helping efficient decision-making.
Through this big data platform, Hansol Paper can now store and manage about 100,000 data sources such as electricity and steam usage, and equipment temperature generated in production processes at each factory including Janghang, Daejeon, Cheonan, and Sintanjin on a single platform.
Each person in charge can extract and analyze data inputted in the production process and check visualized data in real time. By optimizing equipment operation and improving productivity through the analyzed data, they can establish a foundation to secure cost competitiveness.
Also, inventory and production information by warehouse can be checked anytime and anywhere, providing insights for work and aiding decision-making. Through this, Hansol Paper expects to fundamentally change the way of working based on data and establish a rapid decision-making structure.
Meanwhile, in March, Hansol Paper partnered with cloud company Megazone Cloud to build an in-house AI sales log system applying generative artificial intelligence (AI) ‘GenAI360’, focusing on innovating business models and work processes through digital transformation.
