Buddha's Birthday Celebration Concert Held at 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park
Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam announced that on the 11th at 5 p.m., it held a Citizens' Celebration Concert to commemorate Buddha's Birthday in the year 2568 of the Buddhist calendar at the 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park, hosted by the Changwon Special City Buddhist Association (President Ven. Beop-an of Seongju Temple).
About 1,500 attendees, including Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, Choi Hyung-doo, Member of the National Assembly, Kim Yi-geun, Chairman of Changwon Special City Council, Jeong Gyu-heon, Member of Gyeongsangnam-do Provincial Assembly, Park Seon-ae, Member of Changwon Special City Council, as well as Buddhists and citizens, celebrated the Buddha's Birthday commemorative concert.

View original imageThe first part of the concert began with a Buddhist ritual ceremony, followed by the Six Offerings (offering of light, flowers, incense, tea, fruit, and rice), the Three Refuges, the Heart Sutra, the bathing ceremony, prayers, the Cheongbeopga hymn, congratulatory speeches, the Chanting of Praises, and the Four Great Vows in sequence.
The second part featured a special performance by the Changwon Buddhist Federation Choir, followed by beautiful voices from Yeon Ullim Ensemble, Choi Jeong-hoon, Park Joo-hee, and Jo Jang-hyuk, resonating splendidly throughout the 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park.
