Two Workers Buried During Old Sewer Pipe Construction...1 Dead
Two workers were buried under a pile of soil at a sewer construction site in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, resulting in one death and one serious injury.
According to the Dongdaemun Police Station, at around 1:03 p.m. on the 9th, an accident occurred at an old sewer pipe replacement construction site in Jeonnong-dong, Dongdaemun-gu, where a man in his 50s, Mr. A, and a man in his 60s, Mr. B, were buried.
The fire department rescued Mr. A at around 1:17 p.m., 14 minutes after the accident, and Mr. B was rescued three minutes later. Both were transported to the hospital while receiving cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but Mr. A ultimately passed away. Mr. B is also reported to be unconscious.
