Hwaseong 'Dongtan Multi-purpose Gymnasium' Opens Today
Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 9th that the 'Dongtan Multipurpose Gymnasium,' built in Dongtan New Town, held its opening ceremony and officially began operations on the same day.

The Dongtan Multipurpose Gymnasium is a sports facility located at 56 Dongtan Naru-ro, with one above-ground floor and a total floor area of 999㎡. It is equipped with four badminton courts, four table tennis courts, as well as convenience facilities such as showers and changing rooms.
Since its temporary opening in March, the Dongtan Multipurpose Gymnasium has been operating free of charge during the provisional period, but with the official opening on this day, it will switch to a paid system. The facility's operating hours are from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Jung Myung-geun, mayor of Hwaseong City, said, "The Dongtan Multipurpose Gymnasium was created reflecting the requests of local residents to be a facility where any citizen can conveniently enjoy sports nearby," adding, "We will continue to expand infrastructure befitting Hwaseong, a city of 1.02 million people, and strive to promote citizens' health and leisure activities."
