Busan Office of Education Announces Passers of the First 2024 Qualification Exam
1668 Pass, Average Pass Rate 88.25%
Certificate Award Ceremony Held at Si Education Office on the 14th
Busan Metropolitan Office of Education (Superintendent Ha Yoon-su) announced the list of successful candidates and individual scores for the 2024 first GED exam on the morning of the 9th.
In this GED exam, out of 2,113 applicants for the elementary, middle, and high school graduation courses, 1,890 took the test, and 1,668 passed, showing an average pass rate of 88.25%. This is an increase of 2.98% compared to the first exam last year.
Perfect scores of 100 points were achieved by 1 elementary school graduate, 3 middle school graduates, and 14 high school graduates. The oldest successful candidates were Ms. Lee (female), 85 years old for elementary school graduation, Ms. Hwang (female), 83 years old for middle school graduation, and Mr. Seo (male), 80 years old for high school graduation, once again proving that learning has no age limit.
The list of successful candidates and individual scores can be checked on the Metropolitan Office of Education website or the NEIS GED Service. They can also be confirmed through the ARS service using the Office of Education’s main phone number.
Certificates of passing will be issued at the Metropolitan Office of Education’s General Civil Service Office from 10 a.m. on the 9th until 5 p.m. on the 14th (excluding lunch time from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays). If visiting the Office of Education is difficult, certificates can also be received by applying for civil mail service at the post office.
Certificates of passing and score reports can be issued from the 9th at all school administrative offices and education office civil service offices nationwide. They can also be issued online through services such as ‘Government 24’ and ‘NEIS Public Service’.

The Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the ‘2024 First GED Certificate Award Ceremony’ on the 14th at 10 a.m. in the International Conference Room on the 6th floor of the Office of Education Annex, with about 70 attendees including representatives of the oldest and disabled successful candidates and their families.
