Fatal Accident at a Shipyard in Goseong, Gyeongnam: Two Workers Killed by 100t Structure Collapse

At around 8:44 a.m. on the 9th, two workers were crushed to death by a ship structure at a shipyard in Donghae-myeon, Goseong-gun, Gyeongnam Province.
According to the Gyeongnam Fire Headquarters, a shipyard employee was lifting a ship structure (block) about 1.5 meters high with a crane and leveling it when the structure fell down, crushing two workers.
The weight of the structure was estimated to be over 100 tons.
The dispatched fire authorities rescued a man in his 40s, Korean national Mr. A, and a man in his 30s of Cambodian nationality, Mr. B, who were trapped under the structure using their own crane, but both were found deceased.
