Jeongeup-si to Conduct 'Community Health Survey' Starting from the 16th
The Jeongeup City Public Health Center in Jeollabuk-do will conduct the '2024 Community Health Survey' from the 16th of this month until July 31.
According to the Jeongeup City Public Health Center on the 9th, this survey, conducted annually under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, is a statistical survey carried out in accordance with Article 4 of the Regional Health Act. It collects important information on citizens' health levels, health behaviors, and medical service usage to implement health projects tailored to regional characteristics.
This year, the survey will target approximately 900 adults aged 19 and older from sampled households.
The survey items include a total of 172 questions across 17 areas, such as ▲health behaviors (smoking, drinking, exercise and physical activity, dietary habits, etc.) and chronic disease prevalence (hypertension, diabetes, etc.), ▲accidents and poisoning, and ▲activity limitations and quality of life. The results are scheduled to be announced by the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency around December.
The survey will be conducted through one-on-one interviews by professionally trained surveyors who will visit the selected sample households directly.
A public health center official stated, "All data collected through the Community Health Survey serve as important indicators for establishing local health policies," and added, "Survey data are strictly confidential under the Statistics Act, so residents selected as participants are encouraged to actively cooperate when surveyors visit."
