From 2021 to last year, SK Gas completed the infrastructure transition work to enhance the operating system through a cloud system and expand the next-generation firewall-based security system company-wide.
SK Gas decided to donate the idle IT assets generated during the transition process to Haengbok ICT's 'ICT Infra ECO' project. The ICT Infra ECO project employs people with disabilities to carry out processes such as sorting, disassembling, cleaning, and assembling donated old IT assets. A portion of the proceeds from selling the refurbished devices is used for public interest purposes.
Haengbok ICT plans to purchase used tablet PCs equivalent to the appraised value of the assets donated by SK Gas and donate them to Hansol General Social Welfare Center, an affiliated institution of the 'Hope Maker' program under the SK Discovery Group.
