NHN Cloud Completes Cloud Migration for 'Shinhan EZ Insurance'
NHN Cloud announced on the 7th that the next-generation IT system of Shinhan Financial Group's non-life insurance subsidiary, 'Shinhan EZ Non-Life Insurance,' has been launched based on its cloud environment.
The next-generation IT system construction project of Shinhan EZ Non-Life Insurance is the first case in the insurance industry to fully transition the next-generation system to a public cloud. The goal is to introduce public cloud throughout the system, configure an infrastructure environment based on usage, and build a flexible distributed structure for core systems. NHN Cloud won the project in June last year and supported the cloud transition together with its partner, Shinhan DS.
NHN Cloud analyzed Shinhan EZ Non-Life Insurance's service framework to ensure compliance with financial security regulations and to build the system based on cloud governance. Based on this, Shinhan EZ Non-Life Insurance transitioned all critical systems?from the core system accounting system (financial transaction processing system) to the information system (transaction data management system)?to a public cloud environment, including ▲product development ▲underwriting ▲customer service automation.
This project is the first case of fully transitioning the core systems of a domestic non-life insurance company to a public cloud-based platform. Shinhan EZ Non-Life Insurance plans to conceive and execute various business ideas by providing a non-life insurance platform based on the cloud.
