Dongmyung University Operates 'TU-Chummy Program' to Support Mental Health
Dongmyung University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) is conducting the ‘TU-Chummy Program’ to strengthen mental health support for prospective experts in the local community human services field.
Students preparing to work in the Well-Life fields such as the College of Health and Welfare Education, College of Companion Animals, and College of Beauty Arts are utilizing their major-specific skills to conduct a ‘Talent Donation Mental Health Counseling Program’ for university students every month.
On April 29, students from the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology marked the beginning of a grand journey with a psychological and emotional support program using media-based counseling. Activities included tension relief through physical relaxation exercises and self-reflection using art therapy programs, helping students relieve stress from their studies.
Kim Kang-min, a student from the Department of Counseling and Clinical Psychology who participated in this activity, said, “I am glad to participate in a program that supports the healthy university life of my peers,” and added, “I will strive to become a true member of society who serves the local community by utilizing the talents I have learned at university.”
