Kim Seong-han, CEO of DGB Life, Appointed Co-Chair of Yoon Kyung ESG Forum
DGB Life announced on the 2nd that CEO Kim Seong-han has joined Kang Sin-sook, President of Sh Suhyup Bank, as co-chair of the Yoon Kyung ESG Forum and has begun full-scale activities.
On the same day, CEO Kim delivered a welcome speech at the ‘21st Yoon Kyung CEO Pledge Ceremony’ hosted by the Yoon Kyung ESG Forum, held at Finland Tower in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. About 100 CEOs attended this year’s ceremony, setting the theme as ‘A Society Without Verbal Violence’ and exploring ways to realize it.
In his welcome speech, CEO Kim emphasized that in the short period during which South Korea underwent industrialization and democratization, verbal violence?including conflicts between left and right, generations, and regions?has become a serious social issue, necessitating efforts for self-purification.
He further stressed the importance of speech and language in human dignity and encouraged CEOs to take active actions to create a ‘dignified society.’ To build a society free from verbal violence, he urged individuals to actively spread this effort to those around them so that it can expand nationwide.
CEO Kim has personally practiced ethical management by participating in activities such as the Suicide Prevention Movement Headquarters, the Well-Dying Movement, the Children’s Traffic Safety Relay Challenge, and the No Exit Relay Campaign. In March, he also spoke at the ‘2024 Yoon Kyung ESG Forum’ on the theme of ‘Sustainable Management of DGB Life,’ emphasizing the importance of people-centered management and the CEO’s role in people-centered entrepreneurship.
CEO Kim said, “Today marks a historic moment when a nationwide movement toward a society without verbal violence begins,” adding, “The small steps taken by everyone gathered here will become the starting point of the challenge and create a great path leading our society in a positive direction.”

Every year, it holds the Yoon Kyung CEO Pledge Ceremony to select themes related to ethical management and seek concrete implementation plans. Prior to the appointment of CEO Kim and President Kang as co-chairs, Professor Kim Ki-chan of Catholic University, Professor Kim Jong-gap of Hanyang University, and Cho Hyun-jung, Chairperson of Bit Computer, have served as representatives of the forum.
