'Minseon 8gi Dongjang Work Manual' Production

Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) has produced the "8th Civilian Term Dongjang Work Manual" to establish a standard system for the "Life Government by My Side," centered on the dong (neighborhood).

According to Seo-gu on the 1st, unlike the existing manual which mainly dealt with practical matters necessary for the operation of administrative welfare centers, this manual focuses on the core values of ▲the three major operational directions of the dong (kindness, communication, BI) ▲the operation system of hub dongs and linked dongs by region ▲the roles and responsibilities of hub dongjangs and linked dongjangs, emphasizing the functions of the dong, the field activities of the dongjang, and communication with staff.

To this end, it is divided into 45 tasks across three fields, carefully detailing practical handling methods and precautions.

The work promotion contents of the two teams in the dong, the Village Autonomy Team and the Customized Welfare Team, were specifically written. In the autonomy field, it covers the establishment of comprehensive village development plans, BI specialized projects, village choirs, and various public contest projects. In the welfare field, it includes necessary tasks such as discovering and supporting crisis households, public-private cooperation, and resource linkage.

The 8th Civilian Term Dongjang Work Manual is scheduled to be distributed to all 18 administrative welfare centers in the dongs in the future.

Jo Jinok, head of the Resident Autonomy Division, said, "Through the production of the dongjang work manual, we will establish a standard system and strive to provide all Seo-gu residents with high-quality administrative services."

Meanwhile, Seo-gu is promoting various administrative innovation policies to realize the "Life Government by My Side," including ▲operation of hub dongs and linked dongs by region ▲development of village BI (Brand Identity) for all 18 dongs ▲promotion of regional joint projects and dong-specific BI specialized projects.
