On the 1st, Chair Park told members of the Korean Intern Resident Association, "President Lim has mentioned creating a 'Pan-Medical Community Council.' There is also ongoing advocacy to unify communication channels solely through the Medical Association after his election." He added, "The Korean Intern Resident Association has not discussed the formation of such a council. The Emergency Response Committee of the Korean Medical School and Medical Graduate Student Association also confirmed that they have not discussed the council's formation."
He further clarified that interns and residents will proceed with autonomous decision-making. He said, "We are deeply concerned about President Lim's unilateral actions. Interns and residents have acted independently so far and will continue to make decisions autonomously. Additionally, we are deliberating together with medical students and will fully respect their opinions."
