Seongbuk-gu, Seoul (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) held the '2024 Annyeong Family Volunteer Corps Launch Ceremony.'
The launch ceremony, held on the 27th at the Seongbuk-gu Office Multipurpose Hall, was attended by a total of 35 families and over 100 participants, who took part in the family volunteer corps orientation, climate crisis response education, and practical activities together.
The Annyeong Family Volunteer Corps was planned in response to the increasing desire for family leisure culture and interest in family volunteer activities amid busy daily lives. Through this, the district expects to strengthen bonds among family members and expand the base of volunteerism in the community.
Starting with activities that families can practice together, such as making natural soap, the Annyeong Family Volunteer Corps will participate in various volunteer activities based on the local community, including welfare checks, environmental protection, animal protection, disaster response, and exploring historical and cultural sites.
Lee Seung-ro, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, said, "Volunteering together as a family doubles the joy of sharing and strengthens the bonds between family members," adding, "We will continue to increase opportunities for volunteer activities that the whole family can participate in."
