Sancheong Saengcho Flower Phlox Festival Successfully Concludes After 14 Days
Over 79,000 Visitors Have Visited
Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 29th that the Sancheong Saengcho Flower Moss Festival successfully concluded with about 79,000 visitors.
Held from the 15th to the 28th under the theme "A Festival of Flower Moss, Dyed in Splendor," the 5th Sancheong Saengcho International Sculpture Park Flower Moss Festival attracted 79,112 visitors, an increase of about 39,000 compared to around 40,000 visitors last year.
In particular, the 30,000㎡ park area around Saengcho International Sculpture Park in Eoseo-ri, Saengcho-myeon, was in full bloom with vibrant flower moss, creating a unique spectacle resembling a pink carpet, which received great acclaim.
Along with this, the flower moss on the embankment and the 10,000㎡ area of Saengcho-myeon Sports Park harmonized to create a vast sea of flower moss.
Additionally, various attractions such as the flower moss mini sports event at Sancheong Museum and Sancheong-gun Woodcarving Workshop Training Center, flower moss base making experience, saxophone concerts, and acoustic guitar performances drew attention.
Furthermore, events such as taking photos with the Sancheong-gun tourism character Sanneomeo Friends air sculptures and posting them on SNS, operating agricultural product markets, and running Saengcho’s representative freshwater fish specialty restaurants played a significant role in enhancing Sancheong-gun’s image and revitalizing the local economy.
