Inviting Nationwide Top Public Education Instructor 'Bae Young-jun' for a Special Lecture... Lecture on Creating Competitive Student Records through Subject-Specific Top Grade Case Studies
Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) will hold a special lecture on college entrance early admission strategies at 1 PM on May 18th in the 8th-floor auditorium of Gwanak-gu Office to ease the concerns of students and parents preparing for the 2025 college entrance early admission.
This year, the lecture will be aimed at high school freshmen and sophomores and their parents, featuring Bae Young-jun, an expert in public education admissions from Boseong High School, who will speak on the topic "Creating a Competitive Student Record through Subject-Specific Top Grade Thematic Research Cases."
Mr. Bae Young-jun is the author of the essential college entrance guidebook "Top Grade Thematic Research Special Features," and is currently involved in various training sessions for education offices nationwide, as well as admissions officer training and consulting at domestic universities. Since 2022, Mr. Bae has been leading special lectures on college entrance in Gwanak-gu, receiving great responses from students and parents.
In particular, starting with the 2024 academic year college admissions, the self-introduction letter has been abolished in the student record comprehensive screening for early admission, making student record management more important. Accordingly, the importance of completing elective subjects related to the desired major and engaging in school-related activities linked to the curriculum has increased.
The district expects that through this lecture, students and parents who feel uncertain about what to prepare for in high school early admission will gain confidence and competitiveness in college entrance exams.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 10 AM on May 1st via the Gwanak Career and Job Experience Support Center website.
Meanwhile, the Gwanak Career and Job Experience Support Center offers customized career education programs for elementary, middle, and high schools, while also operating numerous programs to provide college entrance information and strategies.
Especially this year, the center secured a total project budget of 410 million KRW, an increase of 50 million KRW compared to last year, to strengthen college entrance preparation programs for Gwanak-gu students, including ▲inviting EBS top lecturers for special lectures ▲university student mentoring ▲and continuous Saturday career and college counseling.
