Kakao Pay Launches Offline Payment Promotion... "Up to 33,000P per Month"
2% Cashback on Payments... Benefits for First-Time Users Too
Kakao Pay announced on the 25th that it has prepared a promotion allowing users to earn up to 33,000 Kakao Pay Points (P) per month in line with the integration of Samsung Pay and Zero Pay.
Through this promotion, Kakao Pay offers up to 2% of the payment amount back in points when paying with Kakao Pay Money within its application. There is no limit on the maximum reward per transaction or the number of transactions, but the maximum monthly accumulation is 30,000 points.
There are also benefits for users making their first Kakao Pay payment. Users making their first payment with the Kakao Pay barcode, those using Samsung Pay payment for the first time within the Kakao Pay app, and users making their first payment at small business stores through Zero Pay within Kakao Pay will receive 1,000P and up to 3,000P respectively. Benefits apply when paying 1,000 KRW or more with Kakao Pay Money.
Since the 17th, Kakao Pay users have been able to use Samsung Pay's Magnetic Secure Transmission (MST) function or Zero Pay QR codes within the Kakao Pay app. With this integration, Kakao Pay claims to have secured the largest number of offline payment locations among simple payment services. Kakao Pay payment services can be used at 1 million domestic online and offline affiliated stores, as well as 3 million Samsung Pay payment locations and 1.1 million small business stores using Zero Pay.
