From the 23rd, LG Chem will participate in Chinaplas 2024 held in Shanghai, China for four days, showcasing eco-friendly materials such as bio-based, recycled, and biodegradable plastics, as well as high value-added strategic products for the automotive and lifestyle sectors.
Chinaplas 2024 is Asia's largest plastics exhibition, offering over 380,000㎡ of exhibition space and expecting participation from more than 4,000 companies worldwide.
At this exhibition, LG Chem will display over 60 products at a 400㎡ (121-pyeong) booth, the largest among domestic companies, and operate nine dedicated meeting rooms and a business lounge for communication with customers.
Under the theme of 'The sustainable and innovative solutions,' LG Chem will present eco-friendly products and high value-added strategic products. Notably, eco-friendly products make up more than 40% of the total products.
In the 'LETZero Zone' where products are exhibited, materials such as 'COMPOSTFUL™,' which naturally decomposes within six months when buried in soil, bio-based plastics (PLA·Poly Lactic Acid), pyrolysis oil plastics recycled from waste plastics in crude oil form, and mechanically recycled (PCR·Post Consumer Recycled) products will be displayed.
In the ‘Mobility Zone,’ products including carbon nanotubes (CNT·Carbon Nanotube), a battery material with world-class quality based on proprietary technology, EV batteries and chargers using engineering plastics (EP), automotive interior/exterior materials, and high heat-resistant/high voltage charging PVC cables will be exhibited.
Additionally, in the 'Living Zone,' products such as CO2 plastic (PEC, Poly Ethylene Carbonate) made by capturing carbon dioxide, 3HP (3-Hydroxypropionic acid) produced through eco-friendly fermentation processes, and medical glove materials (NBL·Nitrile Butadiene Latex) will be showcased to accelerate global market penetration.
