Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) announced on the 16th that it held a Charming Garden Creation event at the plaza in front of Cheongnyangni Station.
The event was attended by various residents including Dongdaemun-gu Mayor Ilpyeong Lee, daycare children, families of those with mild dementia, university students from the Seoul Youth Center Orang, and gardeners from Dongdaemun-gu. Together, they planted flowers and beautifully filled the Charming Garden at the plaza in front of Cheongnyangni Station.
Dongdaemun-gu plans to hold a garden festival throughout May to promote garden attractions connecting 'Cheongnyangni Station - Flowerbed of Knowledge - Cheongnyang Dream Forest (planned near Bapper and Sindap Elementary School) - Jungnangcheon Rose Garden,' and will offer various programs where people can escape their busy daily lives to relax and enjoy leisure in the gardens.
Mayor Ilpyeong Lee, who attended the event, said, "It is a meaningful day to create a Charming Garden at the Cheongnyangni Station plaza, where countless people pass by, with residents feeling the seasonal changes in colors," and added, "We will create Dongdaemun-gu, a city of flowers where diverse flowers bloom in full and charm overflows."
