Gimhae-Socar Join Hands ... "2024 Gimhae Line Vehicle Rental Fee Half Price"
Gimhae City in Gyeongnam Province and car-sharing company Socar signed a business agreement on the 8th to successfully promote the 2024 Year of Visit Gimhae and revitalize tourism.
From May to the end of this year, Socar will offer a 50% discount on rental fees to visitors renting Socar vehicles in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, including Gimhae.
The discount applies to over 2,200 vehicles placed in about 600 Socar zones across Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, and users only need to pay half the rental fee when renting a vehicle for more than 4 hours, regardless of weekdays or weekends.
Socar plans to provide parking spaces for Socar vehicles in some public parking lots in Gimhae so that not only visitors but also local residents can easily and conveniently use the car-sharing service.

Earlier, Gimhae City designated this year as the Year of Visit Gimhae, with major events such as the 105th National Sports Festival, the 44th National Para Games, and the East Asia Cultural City being held.
The city expects that this collaboration with Socar will meet the transportation demand of tourists visiting Gimhae this year and simultaneously attract the MZ generation, who prefer free travel and are familiar with using mobile apps, to visit Gimhae.
