The county has formed a joint inspection team to focus on checking the management status of structures such as embankments and revetments, removing various obstacles that hinder river water flow, and verifying illegal occupation of rivers.
If the inspection of disaster prevention facilities reveals minor issues, immediate on-site measures will be taken. For matters requiring budget, repairs and reinforcements will be promoted annually and reflected in the mid-term river plan.
In response to weather forecasts predicting heavy rainfall this summer, the county will do its best to prevent river disasters by minimizing flood damage to nearby villages and farmland through an emergency duty system and standby emergency repair equipment.
