More than 50 Attendees Including Representatives from Ministry of Employment and Labor, Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and Busan Regional Industrial Health Institutions
The Busan Regional Headquarters of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Director Gong Heung-du) held the first half of the year Industrial Health Experts Council at the Yangsan BTC Academy on the 4th.

View original imageAt the council meeting, more than 50 participants including representatives from the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency, and industrial health specialized institutions in the Busan area shared recent cases such as lead poisoning at indoor shooting ranges and acute poisoning accidents at hazardous chemical handling workplaces in Busan. They discussed establishing an occupational disease surveillance system and activating prevention projects to prepare response measures in case of mass occurrence of occupational diseases.
Industrial health specialized institutions include Occupational Disease Relief Centers, Workers' Health Centers, Work Environment Measurement Institutions, Special Health Examination Institutions, and Health Management Specialized Institutions.

Gong Heung-du, Director of the Busan Regional Headquarters, emphasized that “timely detection of suspected occupational disease cases and preparation of measures to prevent mass outbreaks require organic relationships and mutual cooperation among institutions,” and stated, “As the industrial health control tower in the Busan area, we will devote all efforts to preventing occupational diseases.”
