Creation of Two Barefoot Walking Trails along Jungnangcheon in Jungnang-gu
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) has created two "Barefoot Walking Trails" along Jungnangcheon where people can walk barefoot and enjoy a stroll.
The barefoot walking trails are located near the 2nd Yeonyukgyo Bridge on Jungnangcheon (a 200m straight course) and near the Gyeomjaegyo Bridge on Jungnangcheon (a 400m oval course). They are made of loess soil, which is easy to maintain even during river flooding caused by heavy rain, as well as during normal times. Shoe racks and foot washing stations have also been installed to enhance convenience for residents.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, "Reflecting the active requests of residents, we have created two barefoot walking trails that allow people to enjoy the scenery of Jungnangcheon and take care of their health at the same time. We will continue to strive to increase various convenience facilities and community sports facilities that are necessary and desired by the residents."
