Daejeon-Sapporo Mutual Discounts on Public Facility Usage Fees Starting This Month

View original imageDaejeon City announced that the mutual discount policy for public facility usage fees with its sister city, Sapporo City in Japan, will be fully implemented starting this month.
When Sapporo citizens visit Daejeon, they can receive discounts on admission and viewing fees at six locations: Daejeon City Tour, Daejeon Arts Center, Daejeon Yeonjeong Gugak Center, Daejeon Museum of Art, Lee Ungno Museum, and Daejeon O-World.
Also, when Daejeon citizens visit Sapporo, they can receive admission discounts at Sapporo Clock Tower, Maruyama Zoo, Sapporo Dome, Olympic Museum, Sculpture Museum, and Forest of Art Museum.
When visiting the sister city, Daejeon citizens must present their resident registration card or driver's license, and Sapporo citizens must present their driver's license or My Number Card.
Mayor Lee Jang-woo of Daejeon finalized the agreement on the discount targets and methods for public facility usage with Mayor Akimoto Katsuhiro of Sapporo during his visit to the Sapporo Snow Festival last February.
Sapporo City is the capital of Hokkaido Prefecture and the fifth largest city in Japan. Since establishing a sister city relationship with Daejeon in 2010, the two cities have continued exchanges in various fields.
