The 2024 Social Contribution Awards were established to discover and honor outstanding cases of social contribution activities by companies and institutions, aiming to spread a culture of sharing. Award-winning companies were selected through a rigorous evaluation process by experts from academia and industry.
The organizers highly evaluated Daesun Brewery for its relentless dedication and continuous coexistence activities to support the local community struggling with the economic downturn.
Daesun Brewery established Busan's first private public interest foundation, the Daesun Public Interest Foundation, conducting free meal services and scholarship programs. During the COVID-19 crisis, it led the industry by donating raw materials for disinfectant and medical alcohol production for the first time in Korea. Additionally, it has positively influenced the local community by sponsoring the Busan Joint Wedding Ceremony for the Severely Disabled for 11 consecutive years, providing scholarships through the Korea Foodservice Industry Association for 8 consecutive years, and supporting the Busan Fireworks Festival for 18 consecutive years.
