Group BTS member J-Hope (real name Jung Hoseok)'s new album 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1' and the documentary series of the same name have been receiving praise from foreign media.
According to his agency Big Hit Music on the 2nd, American entertainment media Entertainment Tonight covered the documentary series on the 27th of last month (local time) and reported, "J-Hope captivated fans worldwide by exuding charisma while showcasing dance on another level and powerful musical capabilities."
American music media Consequence of Sound analyzed J-Hope's new release on the 29th of last month, stating, "BTS's main dancer J-Hope returned closely to the bright and optimistic sound of his first solo mixtape 'Hope World,' released in 2018."
Also, on the same day, American music media Grammy.com published a special article retracing J-Hope's journey. Grammy.com reported, "Long before becoming a global superstar, J-Hope first discovered his love for dance while dancing on the playground," adding, "He expressed respect for the crew he was once part of by including a track titled 'NEURON' on the new album."
It continued, "'HOPE ON THE STREET' portrays the astonishing overall image of J-Hope as both a musician and a dancer," and evaluated, "'HOPE ON THE STREET,' which reaches the peak of his abilities in two art forms (music and dance), is a love letter to everything that made J-Hope who he is today and proof that he will never forget all of it."
J-Hope released his new album 'HOPE ON THE STREET VOL.1' on the 29th. On the 28th, a day before the album release, the first episode of the documentary series of the same name was released through the online video service (OTT) TVING and the global online video service Prime Video. To commemorate the album release, a pop-up event 'HOPE ON THE STREET Pop Up' is being held in Seongsu-dong, Seongdong-gu, Seoul until the 5th.
