View original imageDong-gu, Daejeon announced on the 2nd that it will hold the 'Dong-gu Drone Family Soccer Tournament' at the Dong-gu Youth Nature Training Center from the 27th to the 28th.
Drone soccer is a futuristic sport activity where players compete by flying drones through circular goals suspended in the air using a drone ball.
Participants are families residing in Dong-gu with children in elementary school or above. Among the 16 teams, 13 general participant teams will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis through the Dong-gu Lifelong Learning website, while 3 teams from disadvantaged groups (single-parent, low-income, etc.) will be recruited separately.
The tournament will proceed with group preliminaries among the 16 participating teams, followed by a final 8-team knockout stage. Additional events such as drone aerial photography experiences and drone exhibitions will also be held.
