LGU+ and Mobirix Sign MOU for 'In-Car Games'
Collaboration to Secure Leadership in Vehicle Game Market
LG Uplus announced on the 2nd that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with global game company Mobirix to develop in-vehicle games and expand its in-vehicle infotainment business.

Mobirix is a mobile game specialist company with over 200 titles, including more than 10 popular casual games with over 50 million cumulative downloads.
The in-vehicle infotainment market is expanding. According to the global market research firm IMARC Group, the global in-vehicle infotainment market size is expected to grow from approximately $18.1 billion (about 24.415 trillion KRW) in 2022 to about $29.4 billion (about 39.6576 trillion KRW) in 2028, showing an average annual growth rate of about 8.3%. LG Uplus plans to enter the in-vehicle game sector based on its know-how in infotainment development and operation, aiming to secure differentiated competitiveness in the mobility business.
Through this collaboration, LG Uplus will build and operate a game portal based on its infotainment technology, while Mobirix will be responsible for developing and supplying games optimized for vehicles to be used on the portal. Additionally, both companies will actively cooperate to secure leadership in next-generation in-vehicle game market services, including ▲payment system integration ▲global market expansion ▲game subscription service development ▲acquisition of new IPs.
