Japan: "Suspected North Korean Ballistic Missile Fell Outside EEZ"
The Japanese Ministry of Defense announced on the morning of the 2nd that North Korea launched an object that is likely a ballistic missile.
According to FNN, a Japanese government official stated, "It appears that the object, which is likely a ballistic missile, fell outside Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)." The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff also confirmed that North Korea launched a ballistic missile toward the East Sea on the same day. It has been 15 days since North Korea last launched a ballistic missile on the 18th of last month.

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida told reporters, "No damage has been confirmed so far," adding, "North Korea has repeatedly launched ballistic missiles at a high frequency this year. We will work thoroughly to ensure the safety of our citizens in coordination with the US-Japan and South Korea-US-Japan alliances."
