Gyeonggi-do Provides AI and Software Education to 40,000 Students and Information-Disadvantaged Groups
Gyeonggi Province will support software (SW) education such as robot coding and artificial intelligence (AI) for 40,000 elementary, middle, and high school students as well as information-disadvantaged groups within the province starting this month.
On the 2nd, Gyeonggi Province announced that SW education will be conducted through visiting education, where instructors from the ‘Software Future Filling’ team visit schools, and center education utilizing the ‘Future Filling Centers’ (Suwon and Uijeongbu), which are software education institutions.
Visiting education is provided by receiving applications from schools and institutions wishing to host visits, and instructors offer customized education such as robot coding, basics of the Internet of Things, and artificial intelligence according to students’ demand.
Center education takes place at the Suwon and Uijeongbu centers, where training on drones, artificial intelligence, and autonomous driving is conducted within the centers. After the education, time is also allocated for experiencing new technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence.
