Exhibition Featuring Sewol Ferry Victims' Names Engraved in Natural Stone in Pavilion Form to Open
An exhibition to remember and commemorate the names of the victims will be held on the 10th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster.
The 4·16 Democratic Citizen Education Center announced on the 28th that it will hold the "Calling the Names Again 2024 Seal Carving & Calligraphy Exhibition" on the first floor of the Center's Future Hope Hall throughout April.

View original imageThis exhibition features the seal carving (stamp) works by the seal carving artist group "Seokjilang," who have engraved the names of the victims on natural stones in the form of stamps.
In addition, calligraphy and memory ribbon artworks will be displayed to engrave the stories of the Sewol Ferry victims and the lessons left by the disaster in hearts and memories.
The exhibition is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends and public holidays.

Jeon Myeong-seon, director of the 4·16 Democratic Citizen Education Center, said, "On the 10th anniversary of the Sewol Ferry disaster, we want to recall and share the memory of each victim," adding, "We aim to open a space for sharing to spread the memory of the disaster and move toward a safer society."
