Gwangju Buk-gu Takes Steps to Strengthen Resident Autonomy Committee Capabilities
On the 27th, Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City announced that it will conduct the 'Resident Autonomy Committee Secretariat Capacity Building Training' until July 2.
The Resident Autonomy Committee Secretariat Capacity Building Training is organized by the Buk-gu Village Autonomy Urban Regeneration Center to establish a cooperative network among resident autonomy committees in each neighborhood, promote understanding of the concept and practical roles of the resident autonomy committees, and to discover and establish successful models of resident autonomy committees.
For secretariat officials and members of each neighborhood resident autonomy committee, 14 sessions of various theoretical lectures and practical exercises will be conducted, covering topics such as ▲Understanding Village Autonomy and Decentralization 2.0 ▲Resident Autonomy Committee Office Management Practices ▲Village Autonomy Innovation Cases ▲Village Planning ▲Village Agenda Consulting, all aimed at supporting the stable growth of resident autonomy committees.
The training will take place at the Buk-gu Happiness Harmony Center auditorium and village sites, and certificates of completion will be awarded to participants who attend more than 70% of the training.
