Pamisell Chief Researcher Jang Hak-soon Receives Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation
On the 22nd, Pharmicell announced on the 25th that Jang Hak-soon, head of the Advanced Bio Pharmaceutical Materials Research Institute, received the Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Commendation for contributions to the development of the chemical industry at the ‘18th Ulsan Chemical Day’ ceremony.
Since 2017, Director Jang Hak-soon has served as the head of research and development at Pharmicell’s Biochemical Business Division, leading the commercialization of monomers and ribonucleic acid derivatives for oligonucleotide manufacturing used in RNA interference therapeutics. He developed dNTP (deoxynucleoside triphosphate), a key raw material for molecular diagnostic kits that detect infections such as viruses, successfully localizing the supply which had previously been entirely dependent on imports. This contributed to the self-reliance of materials, parts, and equipment in the national strategic industry. He was honored for his achievements in developing low-dielectric materials used in printed circuit boards for 5th generation communication equipment, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of upstream industries.
Director Jang said, "I am honored to receive this commendation recognizing my contribution to national industrial development by developing advanced materials such as low-dielectric materials and optical materials related to artificial intelligence (AI), whose demand has recently increased, as well as raw materials for biopharmaceuticals." He added, "I was able to receive this award thanks to the dedicated support of all Pharmicell members and fellow researchers. Moving forward, the Advanced Bio Pharmaceutical Materials Research Institute at Pharmicell will strive even harder to realize the company’s future vision."
