On the 22nd, the MFDS announced that it had suspended sales and proceeded with recall measures for energy coffee imported and sold by Company J. The product was found to contain 'Tadalafil,' an ingredient used for erectile dysfunction and benign prostatic hyperplasia. Although the exact pharmacological action of Tadalafil for treatment has not yet been clarified, its PDE5 enzyme inhibitory effect is known to affect the smooth muscles of the prostate, bladder, and blood vessels of organs. Due to the high risk of misuse, it is designated as a drug of concern for abuse.
