Opening of the 'KT Pangyo Open Innovation Center'
KT has opened an open innovation center in Pangyo, Gyeonggi-do to support and collaborate with startups.
On the 22nd, KT announced the opening of the 'KT Pangyo Open Innovation Center' in the 2nd Pangyo Technovalley for ventures and startups with promising technologies.
Since January, KT has been recruiting companies to move into the center and conducted interviews and evaluations, selecting 12 companies. The qualifications were comprehensively reviewed based on suitability for residency, possessed technologies and business competitiveness, and potential for business collaboration with KT.
The final selected resident companies possess technological capabilities in eight promising business areas including AI, cloud, mobility, and quantum computing.
They are △Didicareseu (healthcare) △DeepNatural (AI) △LiveData (AI) △Mirror (education) △SilkroadSoft (cloud) △SQK (quantum computing) △O2O (AI) △O2Plus (logistics) △OneCup (proptech) △ZenZenAI (AI) △GeoSoft (mobility) △Pureun (IoT).
The center consists of 620 pyeong of dedicated office space for resident companies and 780 pyeong of shared convenience facilities. Companies can move in from March and use office space and welfare facilities free of charge for one year. Depending on the progress and results of business collaboration, residency can be extended up to three years.
Companies are given opportunities to participate in KT’s various venture nurturing and business collaboration programs. KT also plans to support IR activities for investment attraction.
