Samsung Engineering has changed its name to Samsung E&A.
On the 21st, Samsung Engineering held the 57th regular general shareholders' meeting at its headquarters GEC (Global Engineering Center) in Sangil-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, and announced that the agenda for amending the articles of incorporation due to the name change was approved as originally proposed. With this, the company confirmed the name change to Samsung E&A and plans to unveil a new CI in April.
In Samsung E&A, the letter E represents 'Engineers' as well as the company's asset, Engineering technology, future business areas such as Energy and Environment, and Enabler, a supporter to create a sustainable Earth and Eco system, encompassing various meanings.
The letter A was taken from the English word 'Ahead,' meaning 'to lead,' reflecting the will to pioneer and lead change.
The company stated that to achieve its vision of becoming an 'engineering company that realizes a better future with advanced technology,' it will implement three mid- to long-term core strategies: 'differentiated execution patterns,' 'solving social challenges through technology,' and 'a corporate culture of respect, empathy, and communication.'
President Namgung Hong said in his greeting at the shareholders' meeting, "This year is expected to be a new starting point for our leap into a 100-year company," adding, "Samsung E&A will strengthen innovation with the new name and focus on preparing for the future by leading changes in the era of energy transition."

Meanwhile, at the shareholders' meeting, all agenda items, including the approval of the financial statements, appointment of directors and audit committee members, and approval of the director remuneration limit, were approved as originally proposed, in addition to the amendment of the articles of incorporation due to the name change.
