Discussion on Measures for Unifying Kindergarten and Daycare Center Management Systems
Geochang-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the first meeting of the Early Childhood Education and Care Integration (hereinafter referred to as Yubotonghap) task force on the 20th at the county office situation room, ahead of the full-scale implementation of the unified management system and services for kindergartens and daycare centers in 2025.
Yubotonghap is a policy aimed at integrating early childhood education and care, which have been dualized under the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health and Welfare, to ensure high-quality education for young children, eliminate support disparities depending on the institution used, and promote continuous policies. From 2025, the Ministry of Health and Welfare's early childhood care duties will be transferred to the Ministry of Education.
The Geochang-gun Yubotonghap task force, led by the Director of the Happiness Sharing Division, consists of 11 public officials from relevant departments based on an understanding of tasks, staffing, budget, and property for the efficient transfer of duties related to the promotion of Yubotonghap.
At the meeting, the agenda included ▲ explanation of the progress of Yubotonghap ▲ discussion of response measures by sector for task transfer, followed by additional discussions on the county's future response plans.
