The Proud Face of Gwangjin?... Nominations for the 29th Gwangjin District Residents' Awards
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) is publicly recruiting candidates for the ‘29th Gwangjin Resident Award,’ recognizing outstanding contributions to the local community through exceptional efforts.
The award categories are ▲Economic and Community Development ▲Volunteering and Donation ▲Filial Piety, selecting three individuals and two organizations. Recommendations can be made for those who have demonstrated exemplary achievements in each field and serve as role models for others.
Eligible candidates are individuals or organizations who have resided or maintained their living area in Gwangjin-gu for more than three years. Recommendations can be submitted by neighborhood chiefs, department heads, related institutions, organization leaders, or by more than 10 Gwangjin residents.
The application deadline is until the 12th of next month. Recommenders must complete the required documents and submit the originals to the Autonomous Administration Division. The final winners will be announced in May after a thorough investigation and review of their achievements.
The awards ceremony will take place on May 25th, ‘Gwangjin Residents’ Day.’ On this day, the ceremony will celebrate with residents and share the meaningful moments of the awards. Additionally, the winners’ names will be engraved on a plaque and permanently preserved at locations such as the Gwangjin Culture and Arts Center.
