Commitment to Prioritize Local Construction Machinery and Equipment Use, and Local Workforce Employment
Asan City in Chungnam has signed a regional win-win cooperation agreement with POSCO E&C Co., Ltd. to revitalize the local construction industry.
According to the agreement signed on the 18th, both organizations agreed to cooperate to revitalize the local construction industry by △actively cooperating and supporting various issues arising during project implementation △expanding participation of local construction companies △prioritizing the use of local construction machinery and equipment △prioritizing the employment of local workforce.
Mayor Park Kyung-gwi said, “I hope the mutual cooperation between Asan City and POSCO E&C will serve as an opportunity to further revitalize the local construction industry,” adding, “Asan City will continue to do its best to provide assistance to local construction companies facing difficulties through various administrative supports.”

Meanwhile, POSCO E&C is currently carrying out the construction of apartment complexes in Tangjeong District, A3BL (project size 192,945㎡, total project cost 254.5 billion KRW) and A4BL (project size 195,803㎡, total project cost 301 billion KRW) at 905-1 Maegok-ri, Tangjeong-myeon, Asan City.
