Gyeonggi Fire Department Receives 563 Applications for 'Home Fire Safety Equipment Installation Event'
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters reported that 563 people applied for the 'Home Fire Safety Equipment Giveaway Event.'
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters conducted the event from January 16 to February 29 to expand the installation of fire safety equipment in homes. They collected stories related to Gyeonggi Fire Services, selected outstanding entries, and installed fire extinguishers and fire alarms in homes as part of the giveaway.
Detailed analysis of the submitted stories shows ▲284 cases of people who received help from Gyeonggi Fire Services ▲271 cases expressing a desire to gift home fire safety equipment to parents and elderly family members ▲8 cases related to participation in past fire safety song contests and fire prevention poster contests.
The Fire and Disaster Headquarters will select 400 winners this month from the submissions and support the installation of three fire alarms, one fire extinguisher, and one aerosol-type fire extinguisher in each home by next month. Fire alarms can be installed in both detached houses and multi-family housing, but apartments and dormitories where alarms are already installed are excluded.
