Employees of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saewool Nuclear Power Headquarters (Head So Yooseop) 2nd Construction Office (Director Lee Yonghee), Samsung C&T, Doosan Enerbility, Hanwha, and other construction companies participated in a potato planting event to help neighbors in need, hosted by the Saesaeng-myeon Saemaeul Association on the 15th, and carried out volunteer activities.

View original imageAbout 30 employees from the Construction Office and construction companies who participated in the potato planting volunteer work made ridges and planted seed potatoes in fields created around Wiyang-ri, Saesaeng-myeon, Ulju-gun, which includes socially disadvantaged groups among households subject to relocation as the closest area to the construction of Saewool Units 3 and 4, to help socially vulnerable groups in Saesaeng-myeon.
The proceeds from the potato sales will be used as funds to prepare supplies to support the socially disadvantaged groups in Saesaeng-myeon.
Park Junghwa, Deputy General Manager of Samsung C&T who attended the volunteer activity, said, “We are always grateful to Saesaeng-myeon and local residents who cooperate with the construction of Saewool Units 3 and 4,” and added, “We will actively participate in any work that helps regional development.”
