POSCO's Choi Jeong-woo to Hold Private Farewell Ceremony on 18th... First to Complete Consecutive Term
Choi Jeong-woo, Chairman of POSCO Group, will hold his retirement ceremony on the 18th of this month.
According to POSCO on the 14th, Chairman Choi will conduct a private retirement ceremony at the POSCO Center in Seoul on the 18th. He will become the first chairman in POSCO's history to complete a full term after reappointment.
Chairman Choi took office as POSCO chairman in July 2018 and succeeded in his reappointment in March 2021. During his tenure, he is credited with successfully transforming POSCO Group from a traditional steel company into a comprehensive materials company through bold investments in materials such as secondary batteries, achieving a successful business structure transition.
Chairman Choi is expected to serve as an advisor to POSCO going forward.
