House Fire in Bucheon... 70-Year-Old Mother and 40-Year-Old Son Found Dead
A fire broke out in a house in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, resulting in the deaths of a mother in her 70s and her son in his 40s.
According to the Bucheon Fire Station on the 14th, the fire occurred at around 8:09 a.m. at a two-story house on the first floor in Simgok-dong, Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province. The fire claimed the lives of a woman in her 70s, identified as A, and a man in his 40s, identified as B, who were mother and son.
At the time of the fire, two other residents living on the second floor evacuated, but one of them inhaled smoke and was taken to the hospital.
The fire was extinguished in about 14 minutes. Police and fire authorities are investigating the exact cause and extent of the damage, with the fire believed to have started on the first floor. A police official stated, "We are currently conducting an on-site investigation," and added, "No criminal suspicion has been identified."
